For the Cuban Sandwich:
- 1 Cuban bread loaf
- 1/2 pound roast pork, thinly sliced
- 1/4 pound ham, thinly sliced
- 1/4 pound Swiss cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, thinly sliced
- Mustard (yellow or Dijon), as needed
- Butter or margarine, as needed
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Preheat a sandwich press, griddle, or a heavy skillet over medium heat.
2) Cut the Cuban bread loaf in half horizontally.
3) Spread mustard on the inside of each half of the bread.
4) Layer the roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles on the bottom half of the bread.
5) Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.
6) Spread butter or margarine on the outside of the sandwich.
7) Place the sandwich on the preheated press, griddle, or skillet.
