For the Tamarind Balls:
- 1 lb tamarind pulp
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
INSTRUCTIONS |
1) Remove the seeds from the tamarind pulp and place it in a mixing bowl.
2) In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, water, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is fully dissolved.
3) Pour the hot sugar syrup over the tamarind pulp and mix well until the pulp is fully coated.
4) Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then shape it into small balls using your hands.
5) Place the tamarind balls on a tray lined with parchment paper and let them cool completely.
6) Once cooled, the Tamarind Balls are ready to be enjoyed. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
